If you love both, cool beach clubs and the trendy boho style, the Dutch North Sea coast is the place for you. Beautiful beach clubs are lined up all along the Dutch coast. But some of them make every boho-loving heart beat faster. Today I present the 13 best beach clubs in Holland that are definitely worth a visit.
13th Lekker – Vrouwenpolder
On the beautiful Zeeland coast you will find Beachclub Lekker. Stylish design and a wide selection of delicious dishes – the name says it all (Lekker means tasty). The food was delicious and the selection of drinks was also impressive. However, the Lekker only comes 13th in our ranking due to its discreet, boho-style decoration.
12th Kontiki Beachclub – Westduin Vlissingen
The Kontiki Beach Club is characterized by bright and friendly furnishings, boho lamps, comfortable sofas and hanging chairs. The walk along the dune path with its magnificent view alone makes the visit an experience. If you want to go out for a fancy meal, this is not the place for you. Kontiki offers simple, uncomplicated cuisine à la snacks, burgers or fish & chips. But that’s all you really need for a nice day at the beach, right? We really enjoyed the mixed snack platter.
11th Strandpaal 21 – Texel
We already loved the journey to this beach club. First by ferry from Den Helder to the island of Texel, then by bus across the beautiful island to De Koog. From there, you can take a leisurely stroll through the village and start your long walk along the beach towards the beach club. If you prefer a less strenuous route, you can also walk behind the dunes on the paved path through the campsite. The beach club enjoys a peaceful location in the dunes, with a fantastic view of the North Sea in front of the wide sandy beach. The food tastes good and the boho decoration inside makes the place very cozy. Thumbs up for Strandpaal 21!
10th Woodstock’69 – Bloemendaal aan Zee
Not only great for a chilled day at the beach, but also the perfect place for party animals and night owls! Not only hippie fans get their money’s worth here. During the day, you can lounge around in the shade of a palm tree in the small hippie village, snack on delicious snacks and simply enjoy life in a relaxed atmosphere.
On Sunday evenings, Woodstock’69 turns into a real party hotspot! People from all over the country come to dance along great tunes of popular DJs in this extraordinary location.
9th Branding Beachclub – Noordwijk an Zee
This is the first boho beach club in Noordwijk to appear in my countdown to number one on my list. Because Noordwijk has a really large selection of cool beach clubs. At Branding Beachclub, you can enjoy the wonderful view of the sea on the terrace or in the cozy greenhouse. The menu ranges from international (vegan curry) and hip (pink pancakes) to classic (burgers or pizza), so there’s something for everyone.
8th Strandpaviljoen Hargen – Hargen aan Zee
If you want to try the pptentially world’s best waffles, you should definitely plan a stopover at Strandpaviljoen Hargen. But a visit to this lovingly furnished beach club is also highly recommended if you don’t like waffles. Not only the appealing interior with a fireplace for the winter, but also the beautiful terrace in the summer invite you to linger. The absolute highlight, however, is the stretch of beach where the beach club is located – for us the most beautiful beach we have found in Holland so far.
7th Kayuka – Zandvoort
Alongside Noordwijk, Zandvoort is the second stronghold for boho beach clubs. During our mission to find the best boho beach club in Holland, we also stopped at Kayuca. We particularly liked the fact that you can travel from Holland to Mexico in just a heartbeat. It still cold in early spring when we visited Kayuka but it was the best vacation feeling in an istant, when we walked in. The small fireplaces on the tables, that you find in many of the trendy Dutch beach clubs, were particularly cozy. Great ambience, great food. My little travel companion voted the waffles with pink cream and candy floss to the top of the list. I, on the other hand, generally prefer to stick to hearty food and wasn’t disappointed either. Thumbs up for the Kayuka. Hasta luego!
6th Ubuntu – Zandvoort
Just a stone’s throw away from Kajuka, you can find the nearest beach club that will make any boho heart beat faster! The Ubuntu is also incredibly cozy with its furnishings and decoration made out of natural materials. A huge sofa with a great view of the sea invites you to lounge around and of course you can also sit outside on the beach when the weather is nice. Would you fancy one of the healthy and colorful dishes or the good old classic burger? The choice is yours! We will come back to Ububtu for sure!
5th Beachclub C – Noordwijk
Wood, raffia, bamboo, Balinese umbrellas – what more could you want? We went to Beachclub C for dinner and we loved the wide selection, the delicious dishes and the friendly staff. Just in time for dusk, wood was lit in fire bowls and the fairy lights were switched on, taking the cozy atmosphere to the next level. Definitely one of the best beach clusters in Holland for us!
4th Hippie Fish – Zandvoort
Hip Hip Hurray for the Hippie Fish. This beautifully decorated beach club has a large glass façade, so that you have a great view of the sea even in the cold season, when you can’t sit outside. Fireplaces and large sofas provide a comfortable time at Hippy Fish. If you like the style much that you want to take a piece of Hippie Fish home with you, then take a look at their merchandise store, maybe you’ll find something nice for you. And now we are fast approaching the top 3 best beach clubs in Holland!
3. Witsand – Noordwijk
Let’s move on to the TOP 3, where only the details really matter, because the top beach clubs are all beautiful. The Witsand is definitely one of our favorites, because we think it has the most beautiful outdoor area. You can sit with your feet in the sand on comfortable chairs or sofas with a fantastic view of the beach and the sea. We love being here in the mornings for a delicious breakfast, when it’s still quiet and when we have the entire beach club almost to ourselves. During the summer, you can rent cozy beach beds and simply lounge around at Witsand all day long. Perfect!
2nd Club Zand – Castricum aan Zee
There are a few beautiful beach clubs on this wonderful stretch of Catricum beach, but in our eyes Club Zand is by far the best and the one with the most boho vibes. You can choose whether you want to sit in the cozy restaurant, in the glass extension or in the cool outdoor area. Due to the cold weather, we opted for the conservatory, watched the open fire and had a delicious lunch. Nevertheless, it felt as if we were sitting right outside at the beach. We definitely fell in love with Club Zand that day. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
1st Tulum – Noordwijk
And which beach club do we think is the best in Holland? The winner is….TULUM! . The beach club is located on the quieter, northern beach section of Noordwijk, right next to the Witsand. Here, too, you can enjoy the beautiful view while sipping delicious drinks both inside in winter and outside in summer. If you are too lazy to queue outside at the beach bar for new drinks in summer, you have the option of ordering and paying for all drinks and snacks directly via the app. Your order will then be brought directly to your seat or beach lounger by the friendly staff. Tulum is definitely one of our favorite summer spots!
