Today I’m introducing you to our favorite travel essentials that come along on every big trip.

1. Comfortable sleep mask*
A sleep mask is one of the travel items that we really take with us on EVERY trip. It is not only a good friend and helper on flights or train journeys when you want to sleep. Hotel rooms often have disturbing light sources or no proper curtains. A decent sleep mask can really make all the difference to how rested you are on vacation and how rested you return home.
2. Inflatable neck cushion*
Who doesn’t know the feeling of getting tired on a trip and longing for a restful nap? But often there is nowhere to lean your head, or the surfaces are hard and uncomfortable. That’s why we always have an inflatable neck support with us on longer journeys. An absolute travel must-have for us!
3. Mini power bank*
You don’t always have the opportunity to charge your phone on a long journey. That’s why I always have a charged power bank in my handbag. This is not only super practical on travel days, but also on a longer day out or when using the phone a lot.
4. Travel adapter (worldwide)*
This is an absolutely essential travel accessory if you traveling to a country where your own plugs do not fit into the socket without an adapter. After all, sooner or later you will always need electricity and without an adapter you would soon be lost. The travel plug is therefore one of the most important gadgets for countries where an adapter is required.
5. Inflatable footrest*
A great little helper on long journeys when the sitting position becomes uncomfortable at some point. Not only do you have the option of putting your feet up on the footrest. You can also use the cushion as a seat extension, which increases the sleeping area for children. This is why this travel accessory is particularly popular with families with children. But it’s also a great companion for grown ups on any long or short-haul flight.
6. Smartphone holder*
This is a great little gadget if you like to watch a movie or series on the plane. This means you can simply clip your phone to the front seat and lean back comfortably without having to hold on to the device the whole time. However, the holder can also be used quite universally at home or in a hotel.
7. Noise-canceling headphones*
Whether for your favorite playlist, a movie on the go or an exciting audio book – headphones come with us on EVERY trip. As there can be a lot of background noise on trains, cars, buses and planes, we really appreciate the Active Noise Cancellation function, which minimizes disturbing background noise and significantly improves the listening experience.
8. First-aid kit / medicine bag*
We always carry a small bag with the most important medical items, such as plasters and disinfectant spray. But especially for longer trips or long-distance travel, it is better to stock up your first-aid kit a little more extensively. When traveling abroad, a considerable number of medicines and other items quickly accumulate, for which there should be enough space in the first-aid kit.
9. Travel speaker*
As long as you don’t disturb your fellow travelers, it’s always nice to have a small speaker with you when you travel. Whether by the pool, on the beach, in your holiday home or wherever you need some good beats. Waterproof speakers are even more flexible to use when traveling and are therefore our favorite.
10. Travel organizer / document folder*
Sometimes it is not enough to just take your passport with you. In some countries, proof of vaccination, visas or other documents are required. Then you might still have to take the rental car voucher, visa or insurance documents, as well as the emergency credit card that you don’t want to put in your wallet. A travel organizer is a useful accessory for keeping all your important documents in one place.
11. Hat clips*
On sunny summer days, this little helper can be a real game changer. Often you only need your sun hat for the hot midday hours, but don’t want to wear it indoors or in the evenings. But where to put the huge hat when there’s not enough room in your handbag, and you don’t want to crumple it? Don’t despair, the friendly little hat clip is here to help. It allows you to conveniently attach your hat to the outside of the bag, leaving your hands free again to eat ice cream!
12. Packing cube (with compression) / suitcase organizer*
The packing cubes not only save space in your suitcase or rucksack, they also help you to avoid chaos in your suitcase. Do you know this: you are looking for something in your suitcase, and once you found it in the bottom you basically have to fold and sort everything in the suitcase all over again? The travel cubes help to maintain an overview and order in your luggage. Thumbs up for this helpful little travel friend.
13. Insect bite healer / heat stick*
Whenever mosquitoes are around, this little gadget is an absolute must. The heat development can accelerate the healing process and itching and swelling can be reduced. I wouldn’t want to be without this little heat stick any more during mosquito season!
14. Smartphone tripod*
Say Cheeeeese! If you don’t like the classic selfie, with or without a selfie stick, you can try the flexible tripod with remote control. This means that shake-free pictures can be taken without an outstretched arm and double chin. Can also be used for video recordings up to 9 meters away.
15. Oropax (preferably the wax ones)*
The person sitting next to you on the plane is snoring, the walls in your hotel room are as thin as paper or scooters are still rattling through the narrow streets outside your window at night? If you have these little ear plugs with you, no problem. There are many varieties, but I’m a big fan of waxy ones. In my opinion, these Oropax are by far the best at keeping the noise away and ensuring peaceful nights and undisturbed sleep.
16. Cashmere travel blanket*
Super feezing air con or just a chilly day? A super comfy cashmere travel blanket is just what you need. Of course, there are also cheaper alternatives, but good quality has its price. Happy suggling up!
17. Case for electrical goods*
A charging cable here, a pair of headphones there, and the adapter and power bank also need to go somewhere. No problem with an electronic organizer. You can quickly find what you’re looking for and everything is safely stowed away. This little accessory is a really nice helper if you don’t like messy handbags or backpacks.
18. Small foldable travel bag*
Sometimes the suitcase is already full when you leave. However, you might want to buy a few little nice things or souvenirs during your stay. This is where the small, light and foldable mini tavel bag comes into play, which can be filled with all your goodies on the way home. The trolley loop is particularly practical, allowing the bag to be easily attached to a carry-on trolley. Otherwise, the bag is of course also suitable as a small weekender bag.
19. Refreshing eye pads*
After long journeys you are often tired and unfortunately you can usually see that. But don’t despair! Refreshing and cooling eye pads are the little saviors in times of need. Also great for during the journey, for example quickly before landing on a long-haul flight. Or on business trips before a meeting.
20. Universal phone chain*
You love to take photos but you don’t want to dig around in your bag all the time to find your phone? No problem. Just get a phone chain and hang the phone around your neck. This will keep your hands and pockets free and you can alweays get to your phone quickly. I use the phone chain every day, not only when travelling and will probably never go without it again!
21. Hanging toiletry bag*
Not every hotel room has plenty of storage space and shelves for the items in your toiletry bag. But a hook for towels, a shower rail or something similar can be found almost everywhere. That’s why a hanging toiletry bag is perfect for pretty much any bathroom. Also greatfor the tent pole when camping.
22. Travel kettle*
For all those who want to prepare their coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon or perhaps some emergency potnoodles let at night, I strongly recommend taking a small travel kettle with you. It is also great for preparing baby food on the go. The mug of coffee has often saved my morning, which I wouldn’t have been able to make without my own kettle. On some days, the kettle is the Holy Grail of travel utensils.
23. Battery-free portable scale
It doesn’t need much explanation. Anyone who has ever had to pay for excess baggage at the airport knows how expensive this can be. It therefore usually makes sense to check the weight of your suitcase before you get to the check-in counter. A small investment that can really pay off later. And since the luggage scale works without batteries, at least you don’t have to worry about (dead) batteries on vacation. Yippee.
24. Phone holder for the car*
A smartphone holder that is small, compact and easy to attach to almost any car can make driving in a rental car much easier. Simply plug it in, tighten it and switch on the navigation system on your cell phone – and off you go. Incidentally, it is just as suitable for your own car at home.
25. Sunscreen*
Sun protection is always included with us. No matter the destination, no matter the season. Even at home. Sun protection is important, making it a real must-have and an indispensable part of our travel products. Whether SPF 50 or 30 depends on the destination or the time of year.
