Mallorca Guide with boho vibes, great food spots and charming villages
Mallorca has so much more to offer than sun, beaches and sangria, and that is exactly what I want to show you in this blog post. I wandered all over the island and collected my favorite places to eat, drink, sleep and stroll. You’ll find spots full of charm, boho vibes and that cozy feel-good atmosphere. Whether you are looking for stylish cafés, beautifully designed hotels or little streets filled with holiday magic, here are my personal favorites for relaxed days on this Balearic island.
Bikini Hotel and NENI: the Perfect Boho Spot with a View of Port de Sóller
The Bikini Hotel* in Mallorca is a true boho-love paradise, adults only and perfect for anyone who prefers their vacation relaxed rather than overplanned. The location could hardly be better, because within a few minutes you can stroll down to Port de Sóller while the turquoise bay is always in sight. It’s exactly the kind of view that automatically turns every breakfast on the hotel terrace into a little highlight. The hotel mixes warm boho vibes with a laid-back, summery hippie feel. And once you head up to the rooftop, you end up at the NENI restaurant, which absolutely lives up to its reputation for feel-good food: big bowls, bold flavors and dishes you don’t really want to share, but end up sharing anyway because everything looks too good. Together, the hotel and restaurant create the perfect mix of holiday vibes, relaxed indulgence and a happily full belly rolling back into the sun lounger.
Port de Sóller
Port de Sóller is, for me, one of the most charming coastal towns in Mallorca. The curved bay with its turquoise water, the small promenade full of cafés and ice cream shops, and the nostalgic tram that slowly rolls along the harbor. Everything here feels like a relaxed island getaway. It’s perfect for strolling, swimming and watching the sunset. I love sitting by the water and watching the boats come and go. Port de Sóller is one of those places where you slip into vacation mode instantly, without even trying.

Mallorca’s iconic viewpoint: Why Sa Foradada is so special
Sa Foradada on Mallorca’s west coast, located between Deià and Valldemossa, is a truly magical spot, famous for its dramatic rock formation with an 18-meter hole at its center. From the Son Marroig estate, a hiking path leads down to the bay in about an hour, taking you past olive groves, rugged cliffs and breathtaking sea views. The Sa Foradada restaurant sits right on the cliffs and is known for its wood-fired paella, fresh fish and honest, no-frills Mallorcan cooking. The terrace is so close to the water that you can almost feel the waves below. In the past, getting there was more challenging, but today you can also arrive comfortably by boat. The mix of stunning views, authentic food and relaxed atmosphere makes this restaurant an unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight on Mallorca.
Valldemossa: A Picturesque Mountain Village in Mallorca
Valldemossa is for me one of Mallorca’s most charming villages and a true gem in the Tramuntana mountains. The narrow streets, colorful shutters, and flower-adorned balconies instantly give that classic Mallorcan village feel. A visit to the famous Carthusian Monastery, where Chopin and George Sand spent a winter, is of course a must. But the best part is simply wandering the streets, stopping at cozy cafés, and enjoying the mountain air. Valldemossa has a wonderful mix of culture, relaxed village life, and stunning views. If you’re visiting for the day, I recommend arriving early, as it can get quite busy after midday, especially in high season.
The Cliffside Hotspot: Ca’s Patró March
Ca’s Patró March sits right on the cliffs below Deià and offers one of the most stunning sea views on Mallorca. The restaurant itself is simple but brilliant: wooden tables, stone walls, and the rugged natural surroundings immediately make you feel that it’s all about enjoying good food and the view. The menu focuses on fresh fish and seafood, all prepared honestly and without fuss – grilled fresh fish is an absolute highlight. For me, the combination of the location and the direct sea view was unforgettable. Tip: be sure to reserve a table in advance, otherwise it’s hard to get a spot. The place is equally popular with locals and celebrities.
Fornalutx: The idyllic mountain Village in the Tramuntana Mountains
For me, Fornalutx is one of the prettiest villages on the entire island: a little postcard-perfect gem in the Tramuntana mountains. The sometimes steep, winding streets, warm sandstone façades, and abundant plants in front of the houses give the village its own unique charm. Everything feels calm, cozy, and wonderfully authentic, almost as if time has slowed down just a little. The best way to enjoy it is to wander through the streets, sip a café con leche, and take in the mountain views. Fornalutx is one of those places where you immediately understand why so many people keep returning to Mallorca. And I’m not talking about the Playa de Palma and Magaluf!
Boho Vibes in Portocolom at the Barefoot Hotel
Til Schweiger’s Barefoot Hotel on Mallorca has been bringing exactly what the name promises since 2022: a relaxed, natural vibe full of Boho charm. The stylish boutique hotel with 60 rooms and suites is located in Portocolom, a small fishing village on Mallorca’s largest natural bay. The village has only around 5,000 inhabitants, but its location right on the water makes it feel lively while still wonderfully laid-back.
The hotel is spread across two buildings separated only by a narrow street. Right on the harbor promenade are the restaurant, rooftop terrace, and some rooms with views of the gently rocking boats. In the main building behind, you’ll find the lobby, pool, spa, and breakfast terrace. Everything is designed in a bright, natural style that instantly puts you in holiday mode.
Portocolom at Mallorca’s peaceful east coast
For me, Portocolom is one of the most beautiful spots on Mallorca’s east coast. It is one of the few places that feels relaxed even during high season. The small fishing harbor is incredibly charming, with pastel-colored boathouses, gently rocking llaüts, and the calm atmosphere you usually only find away from the main coast. Particularly close to my heart is the restaurant Sa Cova dets Ases on the church square. It’s wonderfully cozy and, during our visit, was almost entirely frequented by locals. The menu serves authentic Mallorcan cuisine that tastes of love and family recipes.
The village itself has remained authentic, offering lovely walking paths along the bay, small cafés, hidden swimming spots, and a pleasantly local vibe. Portocolom is also known for its lighthouse, which towers above the bay and makes a perfect postcard view at sunset. All of this together makes the village one of my absolute favorite spots on the coast.
Beach Day in Portocolom: S’Arenal and the Charming Bar Blau
In the old part of Portocolom lies S’Arenal Portocolom, which gives the beach a truly authentic feel. Many locals come here because they love the relaxed atmosphere. The beach almost feels like a small living room. The water is clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming. You should also reserve sun loungers in advance, as getting one spontaneously is almost impossible. We tried and failed.
Right next to it is Bar Blau, which perfectly matches the beach vibe in Mallorca. This small beach restaurant feels warm and welcoming, focusing on simple, fresh cuisine. You sit right by the bay, instantly getting into holiday mode. It’s easy to feel like a regular, even on your first visit. This spot really shows how effortlessly summer happiness can be.

Kaikuana Beach Bar: A Boho Gem with Stunning Views
The Kaikuana Beach Bar in Cala Marcal is another little Boho gem on Mallorca’s east coast. Located right on Portocolom’s main beach, it offers a fantastic view of the bay’s turquoise waters. With its relaxed Boho vibe, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy tapas, sip a cool cocktail, and simply take in the sea view. During high season, Cala Marcal can get quite busy, but it’s still a beautiful place where you immediately feel at home.

Cassai Beach House Mallorca
The Cassai Beach House in Colònia de Sant Jordi is a true gem right by the sea. The white wooden furniture feels light, and the overall vibe is wonderfully relaxed. On the terrace, you can enjoy fresh fish, sushi, and a variety of Mediterranean and international classics. There are also small international bites and refreshing drinks like mojitos or the popular Cassai Spritz. Sitting there and looking out at the water, the feeling of a Mallorca summer comes naturally.
Playa Es Trenc: Mallorca’s Caribbean-Style Beach
Nearby, a visit to Playa Es Trenc is well worth it. The beach is famous for its crystal-clear water and fine white sand, feeling like a little paradise on Mallorca. Wide dunes and natural areas line the shore, so you can still find a bit of peace even in high season. Walking along the water, collecting shells, or simply soaking up the sun makes Es Trenc an unforgettable spot.

Cassai Love im Dorf
The Cassai in Ses Salines is the charming sister restaurant of the Cassai Beach House and easily one of the most photogenic spots on the island. The 300-year-old Mallorcan house comes with natural stone walls, light wood accents, airy fabrics and a patio filled with local plants, creating a relaxed boho vibe with serious Insta energy. The menu mixes Mediterranean dishes with modern touches, offering tapas, fresh fish, meat dishes, pasta and even a few sushi-inspired options. Guest favorites include the tuna tartare, the entrecôte and the lobster risotto. The elegant yet laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to enjoy the food, the setting and all those picture-perfect moments.

Charmantes Ses Salines
Ses Salines itself is a charming little village with narrow lanes, pretty cafés and a relaxed atmosphere. Together with Cassai, it becomes the perfect place for strolling, enjoying good food and snapping plenty of photos for memories or your feed. It’s a village that blends boho charm, Mediterranean flair and pure holiday vibes.

Tapas Time at Casa Manolo
Bodega Barahona, now known as Casa Manolo, is a true cult spot in Ses Salines. Founded in 1945 as a small wine bodega, it has grown into a beloved restaurant full of history and soul. The menu focuses on fresh fish and seafood, with classics like octopus, lobster stew and the famous Arroz Notario. You can also enjoy local Mallorcan wines straight from the cellar. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with family photos and memories covering the walls. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy authentic Mallorcan cooking and relaxed hours right in the heart of the village.

Illeta: The restaurant on the rock
Illeta sits on a small rock right off the beach of Camp de Mar, instantly giving you that holiday feeling. You reach the restaurant via a charming wooden walkway, which already sets a relaxed tone. The Mediterranean menu focuses on fresh seafood, paella and seasonal Spanish dishes, with a few modern touches added in. The sea view is spectacular, because from the terrace or the indoor area you can hear the gentle sound of the waves. The atmosphere is relaxed, simple and a little island-lounge inspired, making it easy to enjoy both the food and the scenery. It’s especially popular at sunset, so making a reservation is definitely worth it.

Livingdreams Restaurant 19
Restaurant 19 by Livingdreams in Santa Maria del Camí is one of Mallorca’s true style hotspots. With its lush garden and sunny terrace, food and atmosphere blend together beautifully. The kitchen mixes Mediterranean classics with Asian influences, and both the light lunch options and the creative dinner dishes bring plenty of flavor. After eating, it’s worth wandering through the showroom where you’ll find furniture and decor that make you forget you actually came here for a meal. The spot combines great food, style and a touch of shopping flair in the most charming way. Just a few steps away you’ll also find a gorgeous boho-style flower shop that’s absolutely worth a visit.
UM Beach House: Stylish Relaxing by the Sea
The UM Beach House in Portals is the perfect spot on Mallorca to kick back, soak up the sun, and enjoy sparkling sea views. The interior features a relaxed Boho style with natural materials, cozy furniture, and thoughtful details that instantly create a holiday vibe. The menu offers Mediterranean classics, fresh salads, and light snacks, all as laid-back as the venue itself. Whether on the terrace with sea views or inside the comfortable lounge, the UM Beach House invites you to savor the moment, sip delicious drinks, and let the day end in perfect relaxation.

Boho Beach Vibes and Good Food at Assaona Palma
Assaona GastroBeach Club is located in Palma’s Portixol harbor district and is the perfect spot for Boho and Tiki-style vibes right by the water. Warm wood tones, natural materials, and large windows create a holiday feel inside, while straw umbrellas sway over the tables on the beach, adding a relaxed Tiki atmosphere. The menu features Mediterranean dishes with a creative twist, alongside refreshing cocktails and a fine selection of wines. Whether on bamboo loungers by the sea or in the lounge, it’s the ideal place to enjoy good food, drinks, and the moment.
