There are some weekends when you don\u2019t need a big trip at all. That\u2019s exactly how we felt this time. On a hot summer day, we simply wanted to get out of the city, enjoy some nature, eat well and jump into a lake in between. Our choice fell on the Eifeler Seeh\u00fctte at Riedener Waldsee.<\/strong>And honestly, we couldn\u2019t have picked a better spot. The Eifeler Seeh\u00fctte is made for a little escape into nature. As soon as we arrived, it was easy to see why so many people recommend this spot in the Eifel for a relaxing weekend.The Eifeler Seeh\u00fctte sits right by the water, surrounded by dense forests, gentle hills and a surprising amount of peace and quiet. Instead of traffic noise, all you hear are birds singing and, every now and then, the laughter of people enjoying a swim in the lake. <\/p>\n\n

These are exactly the kind of places we love. Everything feels a little slower here. No one seems to be in a hurry, and after just a few minutes, you start wondering why you don\u2019t plan weekends like this much more often. <\/p>\n\n

The restaurant at Eifeler Seeh\u00fctte<\/h2>\n\n

Before we even thought about checking out our room, we were drawn straight to the terrace. And honestly, for us, it\u2019s the real heart of the Eifeler Seeh\u00fctte.The restaurant\u2019s<\/a> spacious corner terrace sits right by the water. From our table, we could look out over Riedener Waldsee and let our eyes wander all the way to the forest covered hills of the Eifel. It\u2019s hard to imagine a more idyllic spot for a long, lazy lunch. <\/p>\n\n

The menu offers just the right mix of comfort food and lighter options: classic favourites like schnitzel, fresh salads, fish and seasonal specialities, along with vegetarian dishes. Perfect when you\u2019ve worked up a proper appetite after a day out in nature.We went for a fresh salad and a classic schnitzel with fries. Sometimes that\u2019s all you need: simple, tasty food in a beautiful setting.And of course, coffee, cake and ice cream had to follow. For us, that\u2019s simply part of a good day out! <\/p>\n\n

The service was just as warm and welcoming. We immediately felt at home and could have easily stayed on the terrace for another hour. With a view like this, it honestly isn\u2019t hard at all.If you manage to get a table on the terrace, you\u2019ll quickly understand why. <\/p>\n
