Agia Galini is one of those places that is surprisingly difficult to describe. Normally, we are not the kind of people who return to the same destination again and again. After all, there are simply too many beautiful places in the world that we still want to discover. And yet, year after year, we find ourselves coming back to this small seaside town on Crete\u2019s southern coast. Sometimes only for a few days, but somehow no trip to Crete feels complete without a stop in Agia Galini. <\/p>\n\n
Maybe it\u2019s the whitewashed houses climbing the hillside, the cosy tavernas along the harbour, or the laid-back atmosphere that seems to fill the air. Or perhaps it\u2019s simply that special feeling that welcomes us every time we drive down the winding road into town. Agia Galini captured our hearts from the very first visit and, to this day, has lost none of its charm. For us, it remains one of the most beautiful and atmospheric places on Crete. <\/p>\n
